How to Use Digitized Newspapers for Genealogical Research by well the known local Genealogist and Historian, Brian Armstrong.

Various types of information that can be found in digitized newspaper archives including obituaries, personal notices (gossip columns), business items, advertisements, legal notices, and real estate information are valuable resources for leaning about your family history. Brian will provide an overview of the available free and purchased resources for accessing digital newspapers; and tips on how to use indexes to find useful, plus examples of how he used them to do the research for his book “The Franklin Park Tragedy.” .
