Welcome everyone to another amazing year at Beth El Synagogue’s Religious School. We’re happy that you’ve chosen to include us on your child’s Jewish Journey.
We have a number of programs that we offer, and we hope you’ll take part in all of them.
Torah for Tots (T4T) is a class for our youngest students (4-5 years old.) They’ll sing, make crafts, and talk all about the Holidays.
(Select Sundays, 9:00-12:00 PM)
Our 1st-2nd grade students come in once a week to work with our amazing faculty. They’ll start learning Hebrew, how to sing some of our prayers, and get excited about their Judaism.
(Sundays, 9:00AM - 12:00PM)
Our 3rd-7th Grade students begin the process of exploring their Jewish identity, learning about Jewish Culture, History, and prayer. They’ll begin to learn more about the regular prayer service, and take the lead in their annual class service.
(Sundays, 9:00AM – 12:00PM, Wednesdays 4:30- 6:30 PM)
Our Hebrew High program gives our older students a chance to explore Judaism in a new way. Judaism and Zombies, Current Events, you name it. We want to give them a chance to see how Judaism applies to everything!
(Mondays, 6:30-8:30 PM, with food)
We also offer youth services throughout the year. We have Tot Shabbat for our youngest crowd (birth through Kindergarten, Saturdays twice a month). We have Beginners Junior Congregation (1st-2nd, Saturdays twice a month). And we have Junior Congregations (3rd-7th, most Saturdays August -June).
That doesn’t even mention our youth groups, special programs like Mitzvah Day, Chocolate Seders, and other amazing programming coming your way!

Our Goals
A child's Jewish education involves more than a student "feeling that he/she is Jewish." Learning to be a Jew means both a familiarity with a body of knowledge and the practice of unique behavior patterns. Our goals are:
1. Students will build a positive connection to Judaism and Jewish Life
2. Students will become fluent readers of the Hebrew of the siddur
3. Students will have fun during their time at the Religious School.
We will do our best to make school fun, meaningful, and powerful. We promise to keep you in the loop with what is going on in class, and to send home report cards to let you know how your child is progressing in our curriculum
